Between 2011 and 2014, I was a prolific contributor and later editor for Pelican Magazine.

In 2013, I volunteered as Books Section Editor, before formally becoming Editor in 2014 (with Wade McCagh).

In 2014, I was Dance Music and Features Editor for X-Press Magazine. I briefly volunteered as Arts and Lifestyle Editor for the rebranded X-Press Mag in 2018.

At the height of my involvement with Perth street press, I wrote feature articles on topics as varied as public art, rap-rave group Die Antwoord, the political drag queen Pauline Pantsdown, Jack Halberstam’s Gaga Feminism, fashion, Germaine Greer, Young Liberals, Perth nightlife, and internet misogyny.
